Description
The M5Stamp Fly is an innovative, open-source quadcopter kit designed with the StampS3 as its main controller. This kit incorporates advanced sensors including a BMI270 6-axis gyroscope and a BMM150 3-axis magnetometer for precise attitude and direction tracking. Altitude control and obstacle avoidance are managed through a BMP280 barometric pressure sensor and two VL53L3 distance sensors, while a PMW3901MB-TXQT optical flow sensor detects displacements.
For interactive use and status updates, the kit is equipped with a buzzer, a reset button, and WS2812 RGB LEDs. It is powered by a 300mAh high-voltage battery and operates with four high-speed coreless motors. The PCB includes an INA3221AIRGVR for real-time current/voltage monitoring and features two Grove connectors to facilitate the addition of further sensors and peripherals.
The M5Stamp Fly comes preloaded with debugging firmware and can be operated via an Atom Joystick using the ESP-NOW protocol. Users can toggle between automatic and manual modes to perform complex maneuvers like precise hovering and flips easily. With its open-source firmware, the M5Stamp Fly is ideally suited for educational purposes, research, and various drone development projects, offering extensive customizability and robust control features.
